#HowTo- No7: Create Voluminous Hair Using Hairspray
Hey,
Today's #HowTo is on Creating Voluminous Hair! This one's very quick so you can get on with your life!
Buy a hairspray. L'Oreal, TRESemme, VO5, your choice. I use TRESemme.
All you have to do is flip your hair over and spray the hairspray into your hair with quick bursts all over. For extreme volume, spray into the roots more. Flip back up and see if you like your hair. Style according to taste.
Try scrunching the ends of your hair with your hands for texture and even more volume.
If you think you need more, flip back over and spray some more in.
But be careful not to spray too much in otherwise the hairspray will clump together.

#HowTo- No6: Pack A School Life Saver Kit
Hello guys,
Today's #HowTo is on making your own life saver kit!
Now by life saver, I mean things you might need at school to save embarrassing moments!
Just an end note- the Random Question- Answered page has been temporarily taken down so that I can edit it. A very strong question will be coming.
Today's #HowTo is on making your own life saver kit!
Now by life saver, I mean things you might need at school to save embarrassing moments!
- A mini deodorant- If ever you find your deodorant won't last you the whole day, pop into the loo at break and unbutton a couple of buttons and 'top up' on deodorant. It'll save you, your friends and your whole class from that nasty smell of body odour
- Breath mints/chewing gum- Oops, you just ate some garlic bread from the canteen! And your next lesson is with your crush?! Disaster! You get what I'm trying to say. After break/ lunch pop a mint in your mouth to tackle bad breath.
- Tissues- Always a brilliant one. Multi-purpose too.
- Makeup removing wipes- If you feel like taking that mascara smudge off or need to wipe off makeup before PE
- Powder- Been sweating after PE? Give yourself a refresh and stop shine
- Feminine Hygiene- You girls know what I mean.
- Antibacterial Hand gel- The school toilets have no soap? Use this as a backup.
- Moisturisers- Includes hand cream, face cream, body cream. If you have some dry skin in need of some moisture.
- Mini hairbrush- Bad hair day? Try to tame those tangles!
- Dry shampoo- Batiste is good. A few bursts of dry shampoo will remove grease and refresh hair.
- Hairspray- You can get miniature canisters of hair spray. If your hair isn't behaving, pop it in a ponytail and spray it into place
- Hair bands and grips- Always carry them! You never know- in science you could be using Bunsen burners or in PE.
- Makeup- Concealer, mascara, eyeliner: I don't mean to go and pack foundation, lipstick, falsies and more. Just things you might need to cover spots and define eyes slightly more (wear eyeliner in your waterline about a 1/3 of the way in for a more subtle look)
- Spot treatment- Carry some spot gel just incase.
- Water- Always carry water to quench thirst.
Just an end note- the Random Question- Answered page has been temporarily taken down so that I can edit it. A very strong question will be coming.
What's In My Bag
Hello!
Happy Friday everyone! I know it's dark and grey in the UK but I can still celebrate the weekend!
For today's post I've decided to do a "What's In My Bag", these posts/ YouTube videos are really popular so I thought it would be fun.
To start I thought I'd start with what bag I have. I have a blue satchel that cost £25 (bargain!) I got it from a small corner shop in Whitby.
Here's a quick list:

#HowTo- No5: Prepare to dye your hair (for the first time)
Hi,
#HowTo dye your hair (for the first time) I am a sort of expert now- seeing as I've dyed my hair 8 times now.
If you are dying your hair for the first time I recommend trying a semi-permanent colourant. See below for what I recommend:
Your hair colour:
Blonde- Lightest: Gold blondes, lightest brown
Blonde- Light: Try light browns, darker blondes, gold blondes
Blonde- Dark: Try light browns, medium browns, gold blondes, tints*
Redhead: Try light browns, dark blondes, browns, nothing too dark
Brunettes: Try deep browns, blacks, tints*
Darker brunettes: Try blacks, tints*
Black: Tints*
Your skin colour:
Very Pale: Gold blondes, darker blondes NO TINTS
Pale: Lightest brown, gold blondes, dark blondes NO TINTS
Medium: Light brown, dark blondes, tints*
Tan: Medium browns, deep browns, tints*, black
Dark: Deep browns, darkest brown, tints*, black
Darkest: Darkest browns, black, tints*
*Tinting for the first time is quite good. I tinted my hair a colour called "Black Cherry" by L'Oreal Casting Crème Gloss. Deep purples, dark pinks, dark cherry are all good first options. But these options may not be the best for pale skin.
Which brand?
I recommend L'Oreal Casting Crème Gloss. It is a great smelling and non-damaging colourant. I really liked it and it's a non drip formula. It lasts for 28 washes.
I have never really drifted away from L'Oreal products. Although I have heard from friends that the Schwarzkopf Live Colour XXL isn't brilliant but I have yet to try.
Just make sure that the product doesn't contain ammonia (which is gathered from wee/urine) and doesn't contain bleach. Watch out for peroxide too.
You need old clothing and an old towel. Other useful things include an old hairbrush/ wide tooth comb, old clips, foil, Vaseline.
Before you start:
1) Wash and dry your hair- read the instructions with the hair dye. It may be that you need more wet hair so just towel dry your hair
2) Prepare your bathroom- cover any surfaces with newspaper and remove rugs etc.
3) If you want, apply Vaseline along your hairline and forehead, even your ears if you want. The Vaseline acts as a protective layer against staining. After dyeing your hair you can wipe the Vaseline off.

#HowTo- No4: Clean Make-up Brushes
Hello!
Today's #HowTo will tell you how to clean makeup brushes. Enjoy!
What you'll need:
This method is very cheap and most people are able to access these items at home, or if not, at your local supermarket
Aim to wash your brushes monthly. Some prefer daily, but I think it's a bit of a waste of dishwasher soap and oil.
1) Squeeze a generous amount (maybe 6/7 tbsp) of dishwasher soap (make sure it isn't bleach!!!) into your flat dish. Make sure there is space for a little more liquid in the dish.
2) Then pour about 2 tbsp of oil into the same dish- you don't have to be exact.
3) Take the dish to a nearby tap. Make sure you have some space to place brushes about. Make sure the sink is clear of bowls and plates.
4) If you want, give the brushes a quick rinse under some lukewarm water. The water shouldn't be hot, just warm. Never rinse with the bristles of the brush facing up otherwise the water will loosen the glue that holds the bristles in. Instead, rinse the brush at a 45 degree angle, facing in a downwards direction.
5) Then dip the brush in the dish and give it a quick stir so that the brush can collect a reasonable amount of liquid. The antibacterial soap gets all dirt off and the oil gives it its softness back.
6) Then move the brush in a quick circular motion round and round the palm of your hand. Use the same force on your hand as you would on your face. It should start to make a foam.
7) When the foam starts to be clear and you're happy, rinse the brush as you would in step 4. Squeeze the brush head to get the foam and soap out, again in a downwards motion.
8) As soon as the brush is free of soap, you may use a conditioner on it. Splodge a little in the palm of your hand and work it into the brush. Leave the conditioner in for 5-10 minutes.
9) Rinse again like you did in step 4 but with cool water.
10) Place the brush on the towel and wait for it to dry. Don't store it upwards other wise excess water will run down the neck of the brush and loosen the glue.
11) Voila! Clean brushes!
Today's #HowTo will tell you how to clean makeup brushes. Enjoy!

- Antibacterial washing up liquid/dishwasher soap (e.g. fairy liquid)
- Extra Virgin olive oil
- Conditioner (unscented if possible)

#ReasonsWhy- No2: You should be yourself
Hi everyone!
Today I'll be giving you #ReasonsWhy you should be yourself. And you can see them in 5 good reasons.
Now, I need to pop a disclaimer here, just in case some people I know see this. I have two characters- at school I'm more shy and at hockey: I'm at my best. I'm not being hypocritical, so shush your mouth!
1) People will actually like you as YOU- Sometimes it is great to act like the fun playful person or the dry sarcastic person but sometimes you need to be yourself. For example, if you act in a certain way around some people and they like you for it, how will that help anything? It's better to have friends that know the REAL you.
2) It's more simple- Acting different around different people can be complicated. It's almost like putting a different outfit on every time you come across different friends. It would be much more simple to have one 'outfit' for everyone.
3) You might get called fake- Nobody likes to be called fake. But even if you think what you're doing isn't wrong, other people may indeed see it as wrong.
4) Life isn't a popularity contest- Some people change in front of different individuals to increase their popularity. Most people would like to be popular- even me. But being popular won't get you to university. Putting "Most popular at High School" on your CV won't get you a job either.
5) Nobody will know YOU- People won't get to know the real person inside. All they'll know you as is the actor: who isn't you.

The Best And Worst Skincare Products I Have Used
Hey!
I care about my skin a lot. And I'm pretty proud of the job I have done! But it took a long time for me to find the best and more cheap products. I have used loads of products and I thought I should share The Best And Worst Skincare Products I Have Used.
Simple Moisturising Face Wash- WORST- This is probably the worst face wash that I've used. It didn't lather well. It made my face worse. I have dry skin in the winter and I tried this in 2012. My skin broke out because it over moisturised my face. My face gleamed like a freaking trophy of whatever. I had a very greasy nose.
Simple Oil Balancing Facial Scrub- WORST- Awful. In Summer and Spring I have horribly oily skin, so I tried this scrub. Scrubs are meant to feel exfoliating and good to skin. After a good scrub from Lush or The Body Shop, I feel better and fresher. But after this I felt just as oily. And on the packaging it said 64% less blackheads- what do you want? A round of applause?
Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser- BEST- This is by far the most brilliant invention ever. After a good wash, I like to moisturise. I was buying another face wash, and I crossed this. I had already given up on moisturisers as most moisturisers contain oil, which seems to make my skin oily enough to fry an egg (I know, eww) But this moisturiser is oil-free. This means it doesn't make my face oily, but also relieves dry flaky skin. Plus it has a spot-fighting ingredient- leaving me with clear skin
Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub- BEST- Another brilliant product. I no longer get blackheads because of this scrub. I use it before bed everyday, as it leaves my skin feeling comfy and clean.
Clean & Clear Exfoliating Daily Wash- BEST- I use this occasionally- maybe once a week (believe me, with the number of products I use, once a week means occasionally). It exfoliates, leaving skin soft and fresh!
Freederm Sensitive Face Wash- WORST- The consistency was nasty and I didn't like it. It didn't really do anything. I still got spots.
Simple Cleansing Face Wipes- BEST- These are brilliant wipes, I use them at the end of the day to get my makeup off. My skin feels lovely and fresh. Then I follow with my Clean & Clear blackhead scrub
Johnson's Refreshing Facial Wipes- BEST- These wipes smell great! They leaves the skin soft and clean. I carry them in my bag just in case I need to take my makeup off or refresh myself after PE
Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Cleanser- BEST- Great for if I don't have time to wash my face. But beware, it can irritate sensitive skin. I simply sweep a cotton pad all over my face and go.
Clean & Clear Advantage Fast Action Wash- BEST- I use this wash at times when I have bad breakouts. It clears spots so fast and prevents them coming back.
Clean & Clear Deep Action Cream Wash- BEST- After this wash you will definitely feel a brilliant difference. Skin is left so clean that you can feel it (it's sort of a cool fresh feeling!) Spots don't come because of how clean it leaves your skin.
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser- BEST- Lovely for during the day. Quick hydration if I need it. Very simple and very lovely
Palmer's Cocoa Butter- BEST- Brilliant! The scent is luxurious and is so moisturising!
Nivea Refreshing Gel Wash- WORST- Gel washes just aren't my thing. They don't really help my skin achieve anything.
Nivea Light Moisturising Day Cream- BEST- Fabulous moisturiser, light enough so that my skin won't break out. All day moisture too!
Palmer's Cocoa Butter SPF15- WORST- I thought this would be brilliant but I was so disappointed. The smell is sickening and nothing like the original one. Ugh!!!
Nivea Soft Moisturiser- WORST- Not that good and takes ages to soak in plus it's so greasy.
Nivea Crème- WORST- The cream is actually quite got but the smell puts me off.

#HowTo- No3: Achieve Longer Lashes and Fuller Eyebrows
Hello!
In this #HowTo I'll be telling you how you can get longer eyelashes without mascara or falsies and fuller eyebrows without eyebrow pencil. Read on!
What You'll Need:
This method is great because I'm sure most of you already have Vaseline at home, or if not you can definitely get it at a local Boots or Superdrug and even a normal Supermarket.
The eyebrow comb is optional but I find it is easier and you don't get sticky fingers. Let's get started.
In this #HowTo I'll be telling you how you can get longer eyelashes without mascara or falsies and fuller eyebrows without eyebrow pencil. Read on!
What You'll Need:
- Vaseline (pure petroleum jelly)
- Eyebrow comb- but not the brush like ones
This method is great because I'm sure most of you already have Vaseline at home, or if not you can definitely get it at a local Boots or Superdrug and even a normal Supermarket.
The eyebrow comb is optional but I find it is easier and you don't get sticky fingers. Let's get started.
- Before bed, take your Vaseline. Get to a mirror so that you can see what you're doing.
- If you're using your fingers, all you need to do is coat you finger with a layer of Vaseline and for your eyelashes, pinch down on your eyelashes and apply one of two layers. Using your fingers for your eyebrows: simply sweep your finger through your eyebrows and going slightly out, to the skin around the eyebrows.
- If you want to use a comb, dip the comb in and work some of the Vaseline into the comb. Then, as if you are applying mascara, comb the Vaseline through your lashes, and through your eyebrows.
- Then after you've applied the Vaseline, just go to sleep! The Vaseline will have gone by morning.
- Be careful not to rub your eyes, otherwise you'll have very sore eyes. If you do, flush your eyes with cool water.
- Repeat this method every night for at least 2 weeks and then see if you like the results. If you wish, continue daily.
- Remember, Vaseline won't magically make you sprout more eyelashes. They will make them longer, stronger and healthier though. This method isn't a guarantee for long eyelashes and thicker eyebrows, so don't always expect huge eyelashes. Although this method does work for many (like me)

#ReasonsWhy- No1: Geography is not useless
Hey,
This is another new type of post I'll be doing- #ReasonsWhy. It's a sort of persuasive text, based on my opinion. They could be okay, so give it a try, read on.
#ReasonsWhy Geography is not useless
Okay, you might be wondering why the hell I'm banging on about how geography isn't useless. This all rose out of someone questioning my choice to do geography at GCSE at school, and yes, he was trying to make an idiot out of me, but read on, and I'll prove him wrong.
Anyway, there is a view that a good GCSE in geography is not helpful. Well my friend, there is where you are very wrong. Geography is a very open subject. There's physical geography and human geography. Physical geography is all about things like rivers, glaciers, earthquakes. Human geography is very open- geography can relate to society, culture, environment, economics, politics, and more.
A good grade in geography (I'm hoping for an A) can mean going on to doing A-Level geography, then possibly studying geography as an undergraduate degree.
Some say you can't get a career with geography. Let me put it into context for less competent minds (yes it's an insult): Biology, Chemistry and Physics are sciences- they fill up 6 periods in my timetable, along with maths and English. Science is extremely important. Geography is also a science thus it's also important. Geography can be known or associated with Environmental Science.
So now we know that geography IS important, let me finish with a list of careers using geography:
Air Traffic Controller
Cartographer
Countryside Ranger
Chauffeur
Geologist
Hydro graphic Surveyor
Land Manager
Landscape Architect
Oceanographer
Property Developer
Land Surveyor
Tourist Information Officer
Town Planner
Transport Manager
Travel Agent
Meteorologist
Civil Engineer
Foreign/Travel Correspondent
Geography Teacher
Marketing
Navigator
Pilot
Market researcher
Environmental Health Officer
Agriculture
Horticulture
Flight Attendant
Archaeologist
Ecologist
Zoologist
Botanist
This is another new type of post I'll be doing- #ReasonsWhy. It's a sort of persuasive text, based on my opinion. They could be okay, so give it a try, read on.

Gone Out- Back Later!
Just a quick one!
I'll be off on holiday (I'm staying in a cottage) with my family. I doubt I'll have WiFi or Internet connection (I know, I won't be able to cope) so I can't post until next Friday maybe.
Miss you all! If you actually read my blog!

#HowTo- No2: Do a push-up
'Sup everyone,
In this post I'll be telling you how to do a push up/press up.
I do push ups every morning to wake me up and to build strength.
Start off by putting long hair up in a ponytail- as it can be irritating to perform this exercise with hair in your face!
Set yourself a target. If it's 2, it's 2. Be realistic. If you've never done push ups before, start small (e.g. don't go for 50!)
Then get into position- lie on the floor face down, hands about shoulder-width apart whilst holding your pelvis up off the floor.
After lower yourself down until your nose and chest almost touch the floor while inhaling.
Now breath out and press your upper body back up to the starting position.
If you don't have the strength, try ladies' push ups. Start with your knees touching the floor to remove pressure.
Have fun(!)

#HowTo- No1: Stay healthy!
Hello!
This is my HowTo post- no1. And it's on being healthy!
There isn't that much on being healthy. You don't need to sign up to WeightWatchers or anything. Just follow these 3 easy points:
1) Get your 5 a day
I start my day with a glass of orange juice, a cup of unsweetened tea and an apple or banana. That's already 2 of my 5 a day.
For lunch, I take in some carrot or cucumber sticks if I'm not having vegetables with my school meal. Or I get a salad baguette. So that's another 1 of my 5 a day.
For dinner, I have a meal with peas or green beans or sweetcorn or any other vegetables. I'll try and get 2 portions of veg with my dinner and if not I'll have some salad.
For dessert, I'll have some more fruit. Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, mangoes etc.
Getting your 5 a day is really easy and does make a difference
2) Do some sport
Join a sports club! It's easy. You can go to a club on the weekend, or an afterschool club. I play hockey on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It really helps and I meet new people there.
3) Do some exercise in the morning
Everyday when I get up I do 15 push-ups, 20 sit-ups, 15 butt-lifts and 15 butt-ups along with stretches and 25 jumping jacks.
I do this to the Radio and it really wakes me up.
Butt-ups and butt-lifts both tone the glutes (your butt, haha) and push ups help strength.

Some new rubbish added to blog!
What's up everyone!
I've added some more stuff to my blog- there's a whole new page featuring the question- "Is it important for girls to have thigh gaps?"
There are more quotes on the Beautiful Love Quotes page. Enjoy! If you have a wonderfully romantic quote that you are aching to share, email me and I'll pop it up on there (with your name if you want)
Have fun my lovely weirdos! Just kidding, I'm the weirdo.
